Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Trickle (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
Trickle is developed and maintained by Krishay Panchal as an open-source project, offered free of charge.
Description of service
Trickle is a client-side web application that simulates human-like typing into a Google Doc you select, using your own Google account credentials via OAuth 2.0. It runs entirely in your browser — there is no backend server processing your data. See the Privacy Policy for details on how the Service handles data.
Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for how you use Trickle, including:
- Ensuring you have the right to edit any document you point Trickle at
- Complying with Google's own Terms of Service and API usage policies
- Complying with any rules, policies, or agreements that apply to you — academic, professional, or otherwise — regarding how documents in your possession may be created or edited
- Keeping your Google account and any active session secure
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Trickle makes no guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular result in your document. You are responsible for reviewing the output before relying on it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Krishay Panchal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including any changes made to a Google Doc while using Trickle.
Third-party services
Trickle relies on Google's APIs (Docs, Drive, and Identity Services) to function, and is hosted on GitHub Pages. Your use of those underlying services is governed by their own respective terms:
Trickle has no affiliation with Google or GitHub, and is not responsible for their availability or behavior.
Open source
Trickle's source code is publicly available on GitHub under its published license. You are welcome to read, audit, fork, or self-host the code, subject to the terms of that license.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. If changes are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Termination
You may stop using Trickle at any time, including by revoking its access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Krishay Panchal reserves the right to discontinue the Service at any time, for any reason.
